this year, we finally get to do...

ALICE IN WONDERLAND!

video is of Miss Dionn pacing back and forth with white rabbit ears, glasses, and clock on talking about how we are going to be late to announce

description of show/characters

Join us on a fall down the rabbit hole with Alice as she navigates the curious world of Wonderland on a journey of self-discovery in this updated stage adaptation of the classic Disney animated film and the Lewis Carroll stories.

When young Alice finds herself in a strange world where everything seems upside down, she must find her way home…and find herself along the way. As she travels through Wonderland, she encounters all of the iconic characters that audiences have come to love: including the ever-tardy White Rabbit, the grinning Cheshire Cat, a cool Caterpillar, the wacky Mad Hatter, and the hot-tempered Queen of Hearts.

Alice in Wonderland JR. features Disney favorites such as “The Golden Afternoon,” “The Unbirthday Song,” and “Painting the Roses Red” along with brand-new songs, including music from the 2010 live-action film.

This production has many characters and roles for all our amazing performers including:

  1. Alice - The curious young girl who falls down the rabbit hole.
  2. Small Alice - A smaller version of Alice; used when Alice changes size.
  3. Tall Alice - A taller version of Alice; used when Alice changes size.
  4. White Rabbit - The frantic, always-late rabbit who leads Alice into Wonderland.
  5. Cheshire Cat - A mysterious cat who helps guide Alice through Wonderland. Often played by three actors.
  6. Mad Hatter - The eccentric host of the mad tea party.
  7. March Hare - The Mad Hatter's tea party companion.
  8. Queen of Hearts - The hot-headed ruler of Wonderland who loves to shout, "Off with their heads!"
  9. King of Hearts - The Queen's mild-mannered and quiet husband.
  10. Caterpillar - A wise and laid-back caterpillar who gives Alice advice.
  11. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum - Twins who are both comical and confusing.
  12. Dormouse - A sleepy mouse who also attends the Mad Hatter's tea party.
  13. Dodo Bird - A bird who leads the caucus race.
  14. Rose - The leader of the Flowers, the girl group, in the golden afternoon.
  15. Lily, Petunia, Daisy, Violet - Flowers in the golden afternoon.
  16. Mathilda - Alice's older sister.
  17. Door Knob - The talking door that Alice must go through to enter Wonderland.

You know Miss Dionn loves her ensembles! There will be tons of Wonderland creatures and characters, including whimsical beings and animals, talking furniture, a garden full of fantastic flowers (including a sassy Miss Poison Ivy), and the Queen's army of playing cards!
